The engineer you want when it has to work

I build the parts of a product that people never see and always feel: the API that answers in time, the queue that does not drop a message, the deployment that goes out on a Friday without anyone holding their breath.

My career started in the .NET world — ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Umbraco, SQL Server — and grew into JavaScript and TypeScript across Node.js, NestJS, React and Next.js. That range means I am equally comfortable tuning a stored procedure, drawing a service boundary, or pairing with a designer on the front end.

mobileLIVE hired me in Lahore in 2022 and relocated me to its Toronto team in 2025, where I now work embedded in an enterprise client's own delivery organisation on distributed, containerised services running on Azure. Along the way I have run Linux fleets behind Nginx and HAProxy, configured Janus and Asterisk for WebRTC calling, and set up database replication for systems that could not afford to go dark.

    Building and maintaining containerised services and the React front ends that sit on top of them, embedded in the delivery team of an enterprise client that measures success in uptime.

    Seven years as the engineer clients asked for by name — from first requirements call through architecture, delivery, and the servers it ran on.

    • Architected and delivered web platforms in ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Node.js, Angular and Meteor.js.
    • Owned Linux deployments end to end: Nginx and HAProxy for routing and load balancing, TLS, and zero-drama releases.
    • Configured and operated Janus Gateway for real-time audio and video, alongside Asterisk for call management.

Hiring someone is hiring how they think. Two habits shape mine more than any framework has.

On the road

Running

Most mornings start before the inbox does. Running is where the hard problems get solved — a stubborn race condition tends to give itself up somewhere around kilometre six. It is also the closest thing I have found to a deploy pipeline for the body: small consistent increments, honest metrics, no shortcuts that do not eventually cost you.

AI & Machine Learning

I spend my evenings on the part of AI that is still engineering: retrieval pipelines, evaluation harnesses, agent tooling, and the unglamorous work of making a model behave predictably inside a product. Having already shipped recommendation systems in production, I am more interested in what survives contact with real users than in what demos well.

Learning in public

Twelve years in, the stack has turned over completely at least twice. The half-life of a framework is short; the half-life of knowing how to read a system, argue for a boundary, and mentor the person next to you is not. I keep a running list of things I do not understand yet, and I work through it.
